Our standards

PetMate has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualised content involving minors and any attempt to solicit or traffic children. This applies to profiles, photos, documents, messages, listings and reports.

PetMate is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. Pets are the subject of the service; photos of people, and especially of children, are not needed and are not allowed to be used in a sexual or exploitative way.

What we do about it

We remove content and accounts that break these standards, and we do not allow the person back. Where the law requires it, or where a child may be at risk, we report to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and local law enforcement.

Our community guidelines set out what is not allowed and how we enforce it.

How to report

You can report a profile, message, photo or listing from inside the app (in-app report), or from the web with the report page. Reporting is free, and you can also block anyone from their profile or chat. Choose the reason that fits best and add what you saw.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Do not share or forward the material itself.

Compliance with the law

We comply with applicable child safety laws, including laws on reporting CSAM. We keep the records the law requires and cooperate with valid requests from the authorities.
