Rehoming · owner listings

Need to find your pet a new home?

Any PetMate member can list their own pet for adoption. Your listing sits next to listings from verified NGOs, labelled as an owner listing. Always free, never a sale.

The rules, up front

They apply to every owner listing and are the same for everyone.

Always free

No fee, deposit or price, ever. Listings that ask for money are removed.

Labelled, always

Your listing says “Owner listing”. Listings from verified NGOs say “Verified NGO”. People know who posted a pet before they apply.

Owner-reported health

Vaccination and health notes come from you. They are not a veterinary review, and PetMate does not check them.

Coarse area only

A listing shows your first name and an area such as Baabda, never your address.

How rehoming works

You stay in charge from the first listing to the handover.

  1. Create a listing

In the app, pick your pet, add photos and a short story, and confirm there is no money involved. You can pause or remove it any time.

  2. Review applicants

People send a note about their home. You choose who to approve, and you can decline with a reason.

  3. Chat, then meet

A chat opens only with the person you approve. Meet in a public place, then mark your pet as rehomed.

What is not allowed

Rehoming is not a marketplace. Listings that ask for money are removed, and you can report any listing or message from the app.

  • A fee, deposit or price of any kind
  • Selling, auctions or swaps
  • Claims that a pet is healthy or cleared by PetMate

Meet safely.

Meet in a public place and never pay or send money to anyone. NGOs decide their own adoptions; for owner listings, the owner decides.
